At The Secret Garden Collective we are making a welcoming space where people of all ages can grow, learn, and thrive together. Through hands-on education, sustainable living practices, and community connection, we empower individuals to discover their strengths, nurture their well-being, and share their gifts. Our mission is to plant seeds of knowledge, compassion, and resilience that blossom into stronger families, healthier lifestyles, and a more connected community.
About Us:
Rooted in Community. Designed for Access. Built for Impact.
The Secret Garden Collective is a community-centered nonprofit dedicated to restoring connection, opportunity, and access in rural and semi-rural Arizona. We are revitalizing an abandoned elementary school in Oracle and transforming it into a welcoming hub for education, wellness, and supportive services—where people of all ages and abilities can learn, grow, and thrive close to home.
Our work is grounded in a simple belief: access to information and essential services should be accessible, affordable, and local—not hours away or out of reach for families living on fixed or working incomes.
Our Mission
To create inclusive, community-based spaces that expand access to education, wellness, and supportive services—especially for low- and moderate-income households, seniors, people with disabilities, and families navigating limited local resources.
What We Do
The Secret Garden Collective brings together education, wellness, and community support under one roof. Our programs and partnerships focus on:
Life skills & community education
Practical learning opportunities for children, adults, and seniors—designed to build confidence, independence, and resilience.Wellness & therapeutic services
Onsite speech, occupational, and developmental services provided by trusted partner practitioners in a familiar, community-based setting.Family & youth support
Resources for families, including homeschooling and ESA-participating households, who often face gaps in rural service availability.Inclusive, accessible spaces
New ADA-compliant improvements ensure our campus is welcoming and usable for people with disabilities, seniors, and those with mobility limitations.
Who We Serve
Our work supports residents across a 30–40 minute service area, including Oracle, San Manuel, Mammoth, Catalina, Saddlebrooke, and surrounding areas.
These communities include higher concentrations of working families, seniors, and children with limited access to affordable educational and therapeutic services. By locating programs in Oracle and offering low- or no-cost options, we reduce transportation barriers and financial strain while strengthening local support systems.
How We Work
We prioritize equity, collaboration, and openness in everything we do. The Secret Garden Collective partners with local educators, local businesses, service providers, and community organizations to ensure services are delivered where they are most needed. Outreach is guided by trusted referral networks and open-access programming, helping us reach households most impacted by service gaps.
Our approach aligns with national objectives by delivering measurable benefits to low- and moderate-income residents and ensuring accessibility for underserved populations.
Growing a Shared Future
What was once an abandoned school is becoming a place of possibility—a shared space for learning, healing, and connection. The Secret Garden Collective exists to nurture people and community together, creating a future where support is local, dignity is centered, and opportunity is within reach.
